For the last twenty-five years I have indulged myself into as many fields of art that I could.
I have been an instructor to children and adults, teaching everything from how to quilt applique,
drawing, painting, working with clay and even how to use an airbrush and creating fine art.
I have owned three business as well, each just as fun as the last. I was an airbrush artist
for a good while and then designed quilt applique patterns in another. I also
made and sold custom painted furniture, which was really alot of fun.
I am in the process of writing a children's book complete with paintings.
I have created a board game as with all the
pictures and and game pieces.
I attended Allen Hancock College for a few years, enrolling in ceramics and animation.
My short animation was included as one of the creations chosen for the film entered
into the Film Festival given that year.
I placed "Best of Show" for a bust I did of a small boy with a cowboy hat on and in the
following year I placed 1st for a bust I sculpted of another young boy.
Recently, I recieved 1st place in the Fine Arts for Acrylic and Oil,
and 1st place in Pencil, which was of my son holding my grandson.
I love painting with oils, acrylics and watercolors, using pastels as well. I work to discover
new ways to achieve the techniques to gain mastery in what I paint, to expand my creativity,
and share with others the beauty that is around us.
With each and every adventure I have learned so much about different mediums and how
each has the ability to look and be different from the other, and how they change in the way they
look depending on how you use them, and I am very grateful for the privilege to
be able to have experienced all these fields.
My inspiration and talent come, not only from alot of time practicing and learning,
that is only part of it,
but because I have a personal relationship with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and it is His gift to me.
He is my everything and my wherewithal to do all the things I do.
He is the lover of my soul, and I cannot do without Him.
"Life is God's gift to you...
What you do with it is your gift to Him."
